Classes
1. Racing Classes: There will be one Vehicle Class, the Open Class.
This will include 4x4 and monster trucks,all these cars will run together,but in a seperate championship.
if there are enough entries,these types of vehicle(4x4 and /or monster) will form their own heats and classes.
Trophies for these classes will only be awarded if there are more than 8 entries.
2.Junior class will be for under 16s and will be run as the National
class is now with small Trophys for the first 3 places
3. The Open Class would have 3 levels of Drivers, National, Junior and
Supernational. The Supernational level includes all drivers; the
National level excludes the top 20 Drivers from the previous year.
4. All drivers are awarded super national points,the top 20 drivers
are excluded from national points.
5. The committee can vote a driver in to super national class
according to there ability
Construction
Most regulations will be applied as per the General Large Scale Rules.
The following Specific rules were passed for Section use:
• Engine and fuel - max 26cc Motors will be permitted.
• Only fuel available at Roadside Service Stations to be used.
• Fuel tank capacity will be limited to 700cc + 10% .
• No Boost bottles allowed.
• The manufacturers Kill Switch must be made easy to both access and
operate, access provided, if necessary, by cutting a hole in the
bodywork
• A Standard Cut-out switch marker to be affixed to the body shell
within 1 inch of the location of the switch. All cars will be tested if
there kill switch works on the start line. If not the car will not be
allowed to run in that heat or final.
• The Exhaust system to be mounted such that the Manifold does not
protrude further forward than the front window post and the system must
run as close to the body as possible. Stingers must not be mounted
under the rear wing.
Forward routed exhaust systems must not protrude from any forward
facing part of the bodyshell. The Scrutineer's decision will be final.
• The maximum width of any part of the car, measured with the chassis
pushed fully to the ground, will be 480mm.
The maximum length of car from front bumper to rear of wing is 820mm
Height max 360 fully compressed
Weight min 8000grams
• Bumpers will be mandatory at the front and optional at the rear.
• Transponders to be fitted in such a way as to keep them as free from
damage as possible
Preferred to be inside the car as close to the ground as possible
Carbon fibre
There are to be no exposed carbon fibre i.e. body , wings , carbon
fibre or any GRP (glass reinforced plastics) can only be used under the
body shell
• Tyre addatives are allowd but must not be added in the pit area.
• Scruntineering will be on a random basis, with a Size box, being
provided to allow drivers to check their vehicle dimensions.
Marshalling
• The Scrutineer will not carry out any Marshalling duties.
• Any driver or Marshal can ask for a particular car to be checked, if
there are grounds for suspecting its conformity to the rules.
• Nobody under 16 years old to Marshal.
• Marshals to wear High Visibility Reflective Vests.
• Marshals to be advised to wear Stout Shoes or Boots and wear Heavy
duty Gloves and safety glasses.
If a cars engine has stopped,the car must be taken off the track,the marshall is allowed 3 pulls at the starter
and that is all,if the car does not start,he must return to marshalling imediately,no other fixes or repairs on the track.
Race Procedures
• Race Fees will be £18.00 per Adult entry £8 per Junior Entry.
• There will be 8 rounds, with 5 rounds to count.
• Booking in: 08:00-09:00 , followed by a Driver's Briefing, with
Racing commencing as soon after as possible.
• Vehicles to be placed in Parc Ferme after each Heat, with drivers
going out to Marshal immediately after their Heat.
• The Marshal at Point 1 will be responsible for removing the
transponders from the cars and returning them to Race Control.
• The Repair Time between each round of Heats will be at the Race
Director's discretion, taking into account such factors as heat
numbers, time of year, numbers of drivers, etc.
• Rolling Starts will be employed for the Heats.
• Staggered Start positions will be employed for the Finals,with 3meter gaps between cars.
• Single Sided Xmas Tree Finals, 7 fastest to qualify directly to Main
Final, then 3 fastest from each Qualifying Final, to progress to the
next Final.
Delays
• The cut-off point for calling a delay will be under Starter's
Orders?
• Delays will not be allowed for Heats and Minor Finals.
• In the A and B finals only, for unforeseen circumstances, a Driver
may call a 10-minute delay. This Driver will start from the pit lane,
if he rejoins the track prior to Race Start, or from the designated
Late Start Position, after the grid has cleared. Only one delay per
Final will be allowed, no refuelling or tyre changing will be
permitted. anyone can work on their car after someone calls a delay,
but cars that have been worked on must start from the pit lane
• Any delay granted will be at the Race Director's discretion.
Penalties
For driving infringements: for the first offence - a warning, a second
offence - 'stop and go', a third offence - 10 second 'stop and go', a
fourth offence would result in instant disqualification.
Failure to Marshal, or appoint a deputy to marshal for you, will incur
loss of FTD.
General
There will be a 4-minute break between heats, so Drivers will need to
be in the start area, with transponders fitted before the previous Heat
finishes.
A 15-minute break will occur before the Main Final.
Heats will be of 10 minutes duration, Qualifying Finals 15 minutes
duration for the C final,20 minutes for the B final and Main Final 30 minutes duration. we will have a minimum of
one hour per round if less than three heats in a round .
In the event of a Rain off situation, there will be a Driver's vote to
decide on one of the following courses of action: Cancellation of the
meeting, Re-running of the meeting, or to close the meeting and award
the points as per the latest heat positions.
The Driver with the FTD has the choice of grid position.
Track spec, 4M width
Could clubs please provide toilets if possible .
Clubs must not hold club days on National race dates including the AGM date.
Vunerable marshal points to have 3 sided protection (infield positions) for added safety.
Notwithstanding the above Regulations, the Committee reserves the
right that, at a Race Meeting, should a situation arise, requiring a
decision, which is not met by the existing rulebook, the committee
members, present at the meeting, shall be able to make a decision or
interpret on existing rules to make a decision and that such decision
shall stand. |
